Portable multi-os version of TeXlive and TeXmaker

Something similar to what you asked for existed in the past, and can exist
in the future.

I'm looking at my copy of the TeX Live 3 (1988) CD-ROM. It states that it
is a "Ready-to-run TeX system for Linux, Unix (DEC, HP, IBM, SGI, Sun),
Amiga and Win32 systems".

Being a CD-ROM, it will easily fit on a USB stick, and there's plenty of
room left for the Mac binaries (and Raspi).

I fully support your suggestion.
