Hello Peter, you are of course right.  It worked.  How could I have ever overlooked the accountant's notation from the excel spread sheet.  Thank you.

 I see no explicit negative points — are these indicated by parentheses ?  If so, what happens if you replace parenthesis notation with an explicit unary minus and no parentheses ?
