Hello all,

I am using latex and have a few instances of figures/tables slightly in the
incorrect position. for instance, I am using a table created in MetaPost
as follows --

\begin{table*}[t]

\centerline{\hbox{\epsfxsize6.1in\epsfbox{TableData.1}}}

\label{ttt}

\caption{Hashing: {\it g} passbits per bucket. Successful and unsuccessful
search lengths.}

\end{table*}

The caption is positioned correctly but the TableData.1 table is about 4
inches

above where it should be --- with most of the table positioned above the
page

and not visible.

Many of the other smaller figures, also MetaPost creations, are positioned
correctly with similar Latex instructions.

I will be pleased to provide more info as needed to help diagnose this
issue.

many thanks in advance,

Walt Burkhard
