\Alph is the visual representation of the counter

The counter you are looking for is simply named 'part'

\setcounter{part}{0}

Thus the next \part wil get A

Subject: [texhax] Reset Alph counter

I have a document that uses "\part" with "\Alph" to mark each section. I want
to reset it to "A", but have not figured out how to. The
"\setcounter{counter}{value}" does not work with "Alph" characters apparently.

Thanks!
