Wow! I'm impressed too.

One obvious improvement that could be made here would be to use svg  
instead of bitmaps --- convert the glyphs to paths to work around the  
current inability of browsers to access fonts embedded in an svg and  
one would have a nice, resolution-independent ability to print / zoom  
in.
