[texhax] Question about Small \sum

It seems not have to been clear what was wanted and what not.
Rather, Zac seems to be surprised that his displays are not
typeset in display style. Somehow, \textstyle seems to have
crept in, as displayed in the proposal above, and Zac doesn't
want this. However, a \displaystyle somewhere preceding
\sum or \sum\limits, as proposed above, may suffice as a
workaround.
