[texhax] Latex questions.

Hi,

 

I have a Latex questions. I rerun a latex file in Window XP and \leq, \le didn’t work. I wasn’t able to get the less then or equal symbol (Ĕ).

I wonder if there is any Latex problem related to Window XP or there is a different way to get Ĕ symbol?  I had no problem with \geq, \ge.

 

I have used \preceq instead, but that is not quite the same as what I need. I will greatly appreciate any help or suggestion.
