You can add the following to your .cfg file and this should fix it

\Preamble{...}

\begin{document}
\Configure{$}{\PicMath}{\EndPicMath}{}
\Configure{PicMath}{}{}{}{ class="math" align="absmiddle"}
...
\EndPreamble
