[tex4ht] Could LaTeX Be Used to Format Braille Documents?

Ulrike asked: "Should they [print page numbers included in a braille 
transcription] refer to some existing edition? Or does Susan want
to type set a source with latex, get the resulting page numbers and
feed them back to get an accompaigning braille file?

Typically they refer to an existing edition, often only available as a print 
copy which has to be converted to an electronic file using OCR.

Eitan's dream was to make it possible to automatically convert all of the 
latex source files on arXiv to braille.  In that case the print page numbers 
would be those resulting from typesetting the source with latex.
