We used to see it a lot with Windows 7 as some students we asked (in some CS course) to add a path to the system PATH and the interface at the time had highlighted the current path, so when you started typing to deleted what was already there.</div>

In Win10 this should be changed to an Excel like interface where each entry is a cell in a column, så this sort of problem haven't really been seen since.<br>
