Hi,

The ‘--aux-directory’ is a convenient flag provided by MikTeX’s version of ‘pdflatex’. This leaves the generated PDF file in the root of the main project, while moving other generated files to the aux directory.

TeXLive only has the ‘--output-directory’ option, which we know is not quite the same (doesn’t play well with `\include` etc). Can TeXLive developers consider adding this option as a feature request in Tl2020?

Regards,
