PDF version 1.7 by default?

At the end of the day I used ghostscript to rewrite the file

  gs -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -dSAFER \
  -dCompatibilityLevel=1.5 -sOutputFile=OUT.pdf IN.PDF

Perhaps we just may suggest this line in the doc.
