Bringing shell completions to the users

Hi Markus - thanks for your work.

    Is installing shell completions actually inside TeX-Live’s scope?

As far as I know, no. TL doesn't provide shells, or do anything
outside of the installation root we're given. Shell completion 
needs OS-level configuration, e.g., under /etc, as far as I've seen.

    could you please reach out to the Linux Distribution packagers to
    have them install the completions correctly? Or shall I do this
    myself?

It would be better if you did, since I have near-zero knowledge of
how completions are done. You can email tldistro at tug.org to reach some
of the distro packagers of TeX.

BTW, I just imported the new pdfjam (with your completion) into TL, so
it should show up after tonight's update. --thanks again, karl.
