Bug with texlive under Linux

Hi;

I have a show stopper when building the manuals for gnucobol which I run 
from a shell script that calls a Makefile and this has only started 
happening for 4 - 5 weeks.


When run manually, i.e.,

exi2pdf -c --command=@afourpaper -o PDFs/gnucobpg-a4.pdf gnucobpg.texi

I get :

Output written on gnucobpg.pdf (820 pages, 1914014 bytes).
Transcript written on gnucobpg.log.
/home/vince/bin/texindex: could not locate texindex.awk script file, 
quitting.
/home/vince/bin/texindex: (checked envvar TEXINDEX_SCRIPT (),
/home/vince/bin/texindex:  executable dir (/home/vince/bin),
/home/vince/bin/texindex:  share dir relative to binary 
(/home/vince/bin/../share/texinfo),
/home/vince/bin/texindex:  and configured pkgdatadir 
(/usr/local/share/texinfo).)
/home/vince/bin/texi2dvi: texindex failed


I cannot find any reference to this missing var TEXINDEX_SCRIPT


I am running the system under Mageia v9 using your install-tl installer 
after having the same issue with the distro supplied texlive 2022 rpm file.

Please help if you can,
