texlive 2025 installation blocked at "running package-specific postactions"

On a second french gui test run, the installation finished, although
with some delay. But the welcome message stopped at 'Voir C:/...
pour les liens vers la documentation'.

At no test run did I observe any popup windows. Can anybody tell me
more about them?
