Texlive installation issue

I have installed Mactex. Where can I find the directory with the binary files for texlive, Which I need for installation of the, Latext workshop in visual studio code.I tried to find the path to this directory, but was nt successful.

Screenshots are painful.

You seem to have a strange zcat, since the file is actually there.

It is MacOS, no idea, broken by design.

I suggest installing MacTeX, that is tuned to the peculiarities of Macs,
and is TeX Live.
