'autoinst' does not terminate

There is a discrepancy between the kpathsea library and the
commandline option -target=./

The -target option doesn't work at all and should better be removed
for the time being.

For instance, autoinst calls updmap in order to register a map file.
This works because only the name is required, not the location.  The
file itself is installed somewhere else (value of -target), where
kpathsea doesn't look for files.

If you invoke updmap again, it's aware of the filename but the file
itself cannot be found and updmap suggests to run it again with
--syncwithtrees.

autoinst should never touch an existing TeX Live system unless -target
points exactly to this system or is omitted.
