Compilation time using TeXLive 2019 under WSL in window 10

So, if compilation speed is important, could I keep TeXLive Ubuntu (under WSL)?
This is interesting, I have returned to test with
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{pgffor}
\begin{document}
\foreach\x in{1,2,...,1000}{\leavevmode\clearpage}
\end{document}
And the results are the same.
