Can't install tl2019 - UI broken

Hello all,

I have just downloaded install-tl-unx.tar.gz from https://tug.org/texlive/acquire-netinstall.html on MacOS X (latest OS). Then I have tried to install texlive 2019 (by running ./install-tl, but this fails at the earliest stage where I want to give a destination directory.

First image is the main window, then I try to change the directory (second image - what a surprising UI) and then I get a really strange mixed English/German error message which does not help me at all. Then there are three buttons visible, an I am still trying to find out what they should do.

Is there an alternative to this UI?
