Hi,

below is a message I sent some years ago, and Karl's answer was "Ok,
done.", which was nice:

  ┌────
  │ currently, the http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/Images/ directory
  │ contains:
  │
  │ ┌────
  │ │ - texlive2014-20140525.iso 24-May-2014 23:34 2.5G
  │ │ - texlive2014-20140525.iso.md5 24-May-2014 23:35 59
  │ │ - texlive2014-20140525.iso.sha256 24-May-2014 23:36 91
  │ │ - texlive2014.iso 24-May-2014 23:34 2.5G
  │ │ - texlive2014.iso.md5 24-May-2014 23:36 50
  │ │ - texlive2014.iso.sha256 24-May-2014 23:36 82
  │ │ - texlive2014.iso.torrent 16-Jun-2014 22:45 50K
  │ └────
  │
│ and, in documentations that explain how to install the TL from the ISO
  │ file, the link:
  │
  │ ┌────
  │ │ http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/Images/texlive2014.iso
  │ └────
  │
│ will soon have to be updated into:
  │
  │ ┌────
  │ │ http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/Images/texlive2015.iso
  │ └────
  │
  │ I guess "texlive2014-20140525.iso" and "texlive2014.iso" links point to
│ the same file. So, what about an extra link "texlive.iso" that
│ permanently points to the current texlive ISO file?
  └────

Unfortunately, if my request was honored at that time, that's not the
case anymore: too bad! :)

All the best.
