I pruned /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/web2c/updmap.cfg, and here’s the result of the run (in Terminal, not via TLU yet, because there doesn’t seem to be a way to force “updmap” from within TLU, nor a way to force re-generating formats). Does it look good to you?

$ sudo -E updmap-sys --syncwithtrees
updmap [WARNING]: resetting $HOME value (was /Users/uri) to root's actual home (/var/root).
updmap will read the following updmap.cfg files (in precedence order):
  /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/web2c/updmap.cfg
  /usr/local/texlive/2018/texmf-config/web2c/updmap.cfg
  /usr/local/texlive/2018/texmf-dist/web2c/updmap.cfg
updmap may write changes to the following updmap.cfg file:
  /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/web2c/updmap.cfg
$ sudo -E mktexlsr
mktexlsr: Updating /usr/local/texlive/2018/texmf-config/ls-R...

mktexlsr: Updating /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/ls-R...
mktexlsr: Done.
$ sudo -E updmap-sys
