I'm using Archlinux x86-64, it is rolling release so my system has most
fresh libraries, therefore two programs: asymptote and xindy currently
don't work (missing libraries).

Is it possible to build binaries for TeX Live 2017 with static

Debian Linux is a solid, comprehensive product, and a genuine pleasure to
use. It is also great to become involved with the Debian collective,
whose friendliness and spirit recalls the early days of the Internet and
its sense of openness and global cooperation.
