[tex-live] luaotfload not in latex-recommended

    collection-latexrecommended:
    -fontspec

    collection-luatex:
    +fontspec

    collection-xetex:
    +fontspec
    -xunicode

Thanks for the idea, but it's not possible. By definition, each package
is in exactly one (no more, no less) collection. That is a fundamental
invariant of how TL is built.

    fontspec:
    +luaotfload
    +lualibs
    +luatex-def

But if someone uses fontspec only with xetex, not luatex,
they do not need the lua packages.

    +xunicode

Accepted. I installed that one.

Admittedly this whole setup is not optimal; for one obvious example,
xunicode does not belong in collection-xetex. I can imagine many
possible changes (many of which have been discussed ad infinitum
already), all of which have pros and cons. Not going to attempt to do
anything more now (and maybe not ever).

Best,
K
