I do not scan for this. I have decided to only include OTF fonts that
are available with TexLive. Otherwise a wide range of fonts would be on
the list for me to include and maintain. Thus if the font is in OTF it's
part of TeXLive.
Actually most of the fonts not included in TeXLive is installed with
'getnonfreefonts' (all but one).
