Dear Dick,
I've now added

 | Some systems (Mac OS/X, BSD) provide <tt>curl</tt> instead of
 | <tt>wget</tt>.  In this case type
 | <pre>
 |    curl --remote-name https://tug.org/fonts/getnonfreefonts/install-getnonfreefonts
 |    texlua install-getnonfreefonts
 | </pre>

to the web page you mentioned above.

On Windows getnonfreefonts itself uses wget.exe provided by TeX Live.
On Unix it checks whether wget is in PATH.  If not, it checks whether
curl is available.
