OK, I confirm on my system (Mac OS X mavericks 10.9.5)
that the new xetex and xdvipdfmx are currently compatible
with Ghostscript 9.15 and tex sources with pstricks.

I moved xetex from my Build of the current texlive svn sources
to /usr/texbin, then used mktexfmt to recreate the xelatex.fmt,
I had earlier also replaced xdvipdfmx with the new binary from svn
And either xelatex for PDF output or xelatex for xdv output+xdvipdfmx
now work and also in the case of the minimal example with pstricks
given at the start of this thread
Best
