Hi Norbert,
Klaus said that UTF-8 doesn't work for him.  He didn't say that the
problem is related to TeX Live.  He said that Latin1 doesn't work with
luatex.  But this is a different issue.

I'm wondering why Klaus has problems with a UTF-8 locale and I need
more information in order to compare his setup with mine.
