But there is another aspect of the problem. I did do:
tlmgr update --all
in order to try the problem. My repository is
http://ftp.cvut.cz/tex-archive/systems/texlive/tlnet
and here is mirrored the state discussed by you yesterday.
And the problem is: the reported bug is not reproducable on my computer.
The format from luaplain.ini is normally generated and the key part of the
log file looks like:

I mean that signal 11 signals that there is a problem with the binary:
luatex or its libraries. This is not a real bug of my code which I wrote
to the \directlua parameter.
If there is an expert which can diagnose the problem, I will happy.

I mean that the Latin-Modern fonts are loadable by luaotfload.
