[tex-live] Texworks fail but I can compile pdf though texlive by using commands

What is the output of the following commands:
	which pdftex
	kpsewhich -engine=/ pdflatex.fmt
	kpsewhich -engine=/ latex.fmt
	echo $PATH
and how is TeX Works configured, i.e., which path to use.
