is anyone sufficiently sure of themselves that they could write a faq
answer about this, that i could add to the uk faq? -- http://www.tex.ac.uk/faq

i've several times set out to do that, and each time realised i've
misunderstood something, or that i simply don't have a coherent set of
instructions...
