not necessarily.  koma is odd in many ways, and often does things
wildly differently to the way the standard classes behave.

i've no time (and no documents) to work on learning the behaviour of
koma, so i can never guarantee that any given answer will work under
koma.  (memoir is similar in this respect, but less often surprises,
im[limited]e.)
