This "plain" tex example
<example file="ex5.tex">
\input luaotfload.sty
\font\test=pplr7t \test abc
with luaotfload version 1.25 (2011/04/21 v125 from luaotfload.sty file)
gives 'checksum mismatch' message (part of log file:
checksum mismatch in font pplr7t.vf ignored [1{/home/lomov/.texlive2011/texmf-
var/fonts/map/pdftex/updmap/pdftex.map}] ){/usr/local/opt/texlive/2011/texmf-di
Output written on ex5.pdf (1 page, 13869 bytes).

So I was wrong with my previous assumption about latex3 packages and
luatex engine collision.
