Please package for TeX Live the following four CTAN entries which have
been uploaded there a few days ago.
texlog_extract is a Ruby script. It extracts a TeX log file, keeping
track of the files in which errors and warning occur and, for each file,
reports warnings, the first error (if any), and the error‘s line number.
The output comes in ASCII, ANSI-colored ASCII or HTML.
ltxfileinfo prints information about a latex class or style file to
standard output. With the -d option, only the file date, relevant for
\RequirePackage, is printed. Without options, more information is printed.
mk is a Ruby script that, in close collaboration with vpp (short for
View and Print PDF/PostScript), is helpful in the cyclic process of
editing, viewing, and printing a latex/xelatex/plain document.
Essentially, mk uses texi2dvi for compilation, vpp for viewing and printing.
vpp (View and Print PDF/Postscript) displays a pdf or postscript
document and lets you print (or save as PDF) selected pages to a one- or
two-sided hardcopy or an A5-booklet. Can also be used to re-arrange
pages in a PDF document.
Thanks go to Wybo for creating this software. I have been using his mk
script a lot the last couple of months.
Packaging this software for TeX Live will provide users an additional or
alternative way to review and print their (Xe)LaTeX documents.
