my SSH connection quits randomly fairly often (I think it's my ISP's
fault), and the first time I tried Build, it quit during the build.
I just restarted the SSH session and ran Build again. Is that bad?
Not wrong, just time-consuming. Running Build restarts everything from
scratch, removing what was done before.
You can use nohup to avoid the disconnection from stopping the build:
nohup Build --disable-pdfopen >& build.out &
Then you can check build.out to see how it's doing.
I usually log out intentionally (i.e., run exit) after starting the
nohup, and then log back in. This shouldn't be necessary but, sadly,
sometimes is, in my experience.
