Hi Norbert,
this won't help because the function doesn't exist in revision 20818
of TLUtils, hence the problem can't be solved by modifying updmap.pl
only.

Or do you propose to copy the function itself?  It would be better
to revert to the old version of updmap.pl until the freeze then.
