 From a user's POV, it is not that good. Each broken connection seems
to take a multiple of 3 minutes before it is recovered from (some retry
timeout?). I think one could do a whole bunch of wget connects in the
same amount of time ...

Altogether, install-tl appears to have been *waiting* for 36 of the
