[tex-live] Problem with latest tlmgr?

Howdy,

Using the TeX Live Utility (TLU) on Mac with TL2010 and a fixed repository (utah). Today there was a ``critical'' update to tlmgr and there were 9 other updates. After the update to tlmgr it listed no available updates manually while running

sudo tlmgr update --all

and 9 packages were installed. So far it looks like it's a TLU problem but wait... TLU reports

2010-09-27 07:41:19 -0500 Notice -[TLMOperation main][8079]	Successfully executed `/usr/texbin/tlmgr --machine-readable --repository http://ctan.math.utah.edu/tex-archive/systems/texlive/tlnet update --list`

2010-09-27 07:41:19 -0500 Notice -[TLMListUpdatesOperation packages][8079]	No data read from standard output stream.

So it's basically running tlmgr with `update --list'  and tlmgr doesn't seem to understand it. I can confirm that running

tlmgr update --list

seems to be broken.
