Actually, it is, but in the "doc" folder
(/usr/local/texlive/2010/texmf-dist/doc/latex/beamer/extensions/translator
on my installation). It should be next to multimedia, in
/usr/local/texlive/2010/texmf-dist/tex/latex/beamer/translator.

I found it weird that translator was also updated (even though it was
removed from CTAN), and that's why I mentioned it here.
