Sorry, this is not completely true, I take my word back. I have
noticed that the path has been set to

All the TL tools that I have tried worked properly, only ConTeXt kept
failing. I admit that the PATH setting was wrong, but I still don't
understand why it fails to work (read as: it might be that other
problems are hidden somewhere deeper as well).
