You can used a dummy deb package as described here:

http://www.tug.org/texlive/debian.html#vanilla

in order to make your Debian package manager happy.

Alternatively, just let synaptic install whatever dependencies he wants to, if 
your TL09 comes first in your PATH, it will still be used.

Well, unless you're very short of disk space, there is no reason to remove TL09 
even if you let synaptic install a few bits of texlive from the debian packages. 
Many people I know chose this solution and are perfectly happy with it : the 
bits from TL07 install by APT (synaptic) don't interfere with you TL09 
installation as long as it comes first in the PATH.
