[tex-live] Line endings, TeX & friends, TeX Live 2008/2009

Whilst experimenting with the GFS Didot example circulated
earlier today, I had occasion to open "GFS-Didot.log" in
Notepad, and saw that the line-endings were incorrect; on
checking similar TeX log files generated with PdfTeX
rather than XeTeX, I see that the line-endings are similarly
wrong.  Is there any possibility that this could be corrected
in time for TeX Live 2009 ?
