Quite true, we didn't make all of these available in hyph-utf8, but all the
different patterns are still available through ruhyphen in the original scheme,
devised by yourself, if I'm not mistaken (by setting \Patterns and \Encoding at
format-building time). We kept it for obvious compatibility reasons (meaning,
legacy documents in any appropriate 8-bit encoding, using any set of patterns,
will still compile, but only the default patterns have been converted to
UTF-8). The same holds for Ukrainian; Bulgarian on the other hand, while it
was packaged in the same way when we started hyph-utf8, only had one set of
patterns and one 8-bit encoding. But you know all that, we discussed it a year
ago. And most gory details are available in our TUG'08 article :-)
