[tex-live] TL 2009 : Problems with GUI (2008 re-visited ?)

Following a complete re-mirror today, I am pleased
to be able to report that there are no longer any
problems with the installation as far as I can tell.
However, once the GUI is launched, that is another
story.

1) Having copied the location :

	H:\TeX\Live\2009

to the clipboard using Explorer, I highlight
the contents of TEXDIR using click-at-end,
reverse-drag. Pasting in the contents of the
clipboard does not erase the highlit text.

2) I delete the highlit text using <delete>;
the first character ("H") of the remaining
text becomes highlit.

3) I click on [OK], and nothing discernible
happens; in the CMD window, I see :

> Loading H:/TeX/Live/2009/Mirror/tlpkg/texlive.tlpdb
> Tk::Error: Can't locate object method "cancel" via package "Tk::After::Cancelled
> " at H:\TeX\Live\2009\Mirror\tlpkg\tlperl\lib/Tk/Widget.pm line 492.

Is this not exactly what happened in TL 2008, and was
there not some hope/expectation that these problems
would not recur in TL 2009 because by then a new
version of PERL/TK would address these issues ?
