[tex-live] Choosing a mirror

Is it reasonable to set the repository to 
<http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/tlnet>, or should I choose a 
mirror and stick to it?  I last updated from a more-recently-refreshed 
mirror and now running “tlmgr update --list” is alternately telling me

tlmgr: package repository 
http://mirrors.med.harvard.edu/ctan/systems/texlive/tlnet
collection-latexextra: local revision (16136) is newer than revision in 
http://mirrors.med.harvard.edu/ctan/systems/texlive/tlnet (16116), not 
updating.

http://mirrors.med.harvard.edu/ctan/systems/texlive/tlnet (15543), not 
updating.
