[tex-live] TeX Gyre in XeLaTeX on Linux

Hi,
how do I instruct XeLaTeX to use TeX Gyre fonts? kpsewhich finds them
and otfinfo can show their properties:

[wagner at hroch486 tmp]$ kpsewhich texgyrepagella-regular.otf
/usr/local/texlive/2009/texmf-dist/fonts/opentype/public/tex-gyre/texgyrepagella-regular.otf
[wagner at hroch486 tmp]$ otfinfo --family `kpsewhich texgyrepagella-regular.otf`
TeX Gyre Pagella

Yet I see the following error message:

(/usr/local/texlive/2009/texmf-dist/tex/xelatex/fontspec/fontspec.cfg))kpathsea:
Invalid fontname `TeX Gyre Pagella', contains ' '

! Font \zf at basefont="TeX Gyre Pagella" at 10.0pt not loadable: Metric (TFM) fil

\zf at fontspec ...ntname \zf at suffix " at \f at size pt

It is the same in TL 2008 and TL 2007.
