    is it not the case that adobe's given up on unique ids?

I was just poking around with this a couple days ago, and I didn't see
anything indicating as much.  There was still a document about it, still
contact information, etc.  Of course, it's pretty much impossible to be
certain of finding the right place for current information on Adobe's
web site.  Or to know if they'd ever actually reply to requests.
