The directory /usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-dist/fonts/map/dvips/
archaic contains these files:

	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 41 10 Jan 2006 aramaic.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 707 8 Sep 2006 archaicprw.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 38 10 Jan 2006 cypriot.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 35 1 Feb 23:45 etruscan.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 34 8 Sep 2006 fut10.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 52 8 Sep 2006 greek4cbc.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 51 8 Sep 2006 greek6cbc.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 46 8 Sep 2006 hieroglf.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 48 10 Jan 2006 linearb.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 44 10 Jan 2006 nabatean.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 88 8 Sep 2006 oands.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 48 10 Jan 2006 oldprsn.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 40 8 Sep 2006 phoenician.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 42 8 Sep 2006 protosem.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 51 8 Sep 2006 sarabian.map
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 58 10 Jan 2006 ugarite.map

Archaicprw.map substitutes obviously these MAP file fragments:
aramaic, cypriot, etruscan, fut10, greek4cbc, greek6cbc, linearb,
nabatean, oands, oldprsn, phoenician, protosem, sarabian, and
ugarite. The hieroglf MAP file fragment is still needed. In an
orderly system either all substituted files are removed or kept for
those who keep exact MAP files.

I prefer that all these little MAP file fragments are kept, which
implies that the contents of etruscan.map needs to be corrected.
