[tex-live] TeX Live 2009 powerpc-aix on AIX 5.3 Segmentation fault

I downloaded the TeX Live 2009 ISO and mounted it on AIX 5.3.

I tried the "medium" install and then later the "basic" on AIX 5.3 and got
the same results with it Segmentation fault as seen below. Both installs
were clean installs.

$ latex -v

Any help with getting the binaries working on AIX 5.3 would be greatly
appreciated.
