Yeah, it does. So I have the infrastructure to do it easily enough, but I
have to think about where to put it; typically, modifying an application's
preferences should not require root.
Which reminds me that I should stat the install directory and see if it's
writeable before asking for root authorization. Would checking the
permissions on `kpsewhich -var-value=SELFAUTOPARENT` be correct? I've never
bothered to do this since most people are using MacTeX.

I knew I'd be too late :). I'm going to add support for setting location,
anyway, so I can use it.
