[tex-live] pdftex and other binaries updates

Hi,
using sudo on system comparable to Ralfs, I got the same result.

That's normal on SuSE (11.0).

/usr/local/texlive/2008

and

for me PATH starts with /usr/local/texlive/2008/bin/x86_64-linux, 
only /opt/kde3/bin goes always to first position, after some time.
 And even if I've changed it back, sudo tlmgr doesn't work and looks 
at  /usr/lib/texmf/tlpk for its packages. Mysterious!

Nevertheless, su -c "command" works without any error and I guess the sudo 
behavior must be discussed with people that are deeper involved into 
distribution internals.
